I wasn't comparing Fury and Joshua and certainly wasn't trying to defend Joshua, as I said I agree with your logic on him. I was just curious as to how you differentiate Wilder as a genuine world champ given he won his belt in an extremely similar fashion to Joshua. I don't particularly rate either of them for what it's worth.

I agree completely with the rest of your post (though again some applies to Wilder too such as soft defences etc) in particular the bit about Fury and Usyk being miles ahead of the rest.

I think people have bought up Wilder as you have rated him highly in the past and therefore it looks like your logic is inconsistent.

I go on the CV rating provided by forum guru @Mitch87 who fequently informs us that Wilder is the real deal.

The only man on here that can bend a 50 inch thick iron bar with his bare hands to fit anything.

All fair points. Especially the loud minority bit which is especially prevalent in the social media era.

I'm looking forward to this era being over tbh despite the next one looking even weaker.

Same here as too much time taken to make the fights people want to see and by the time they come around, they have lost appeal in many cases.

Twenty years ago, the Brits would all get in the ring with each other for much less money.

Now they are a pile of ducking looters.

“People like to throw Wilders name in to defend Joshua’s mediocrity” says the guy who brought Wilders name into the thread claiming he was a “genuine World champion”

You were informed by Hearn that Joshua was the greatest and incredibly still believe it.

Joshua is bang average and if you don't believe me then just watch the Ruiz 1 fight again along with the 2 Usyk schoolings.

Incredible that people don't see what Adam Smith seen years ago.

Maybe your phone or computer is broken as you keep posting the same links over and over again.

You still havnt explained why you consider Wilder a “genuine world champion” when he won his title from Stiverne who in turn claimed it whilst it was vacant.

Joshua has non elite traits, no heart, no chin, no stamina, no charisma, never a Humble yet you believe Mr Hearn's greatness claim through defending the British Level Mr Bumble.

I’m not defending anybody. I’m trying to understand why two fighters who have claimed titles in exactly the same way are held in completely opposite regards. Wilder held as the “genuine world champion” even though he has just lost every round to “British level Parker”

Joshua is better than people give credit for.

His stock went up and Fury's down when Parker easily nullified Wilder.

Ruiz arguably beat Parker and lost a contentious decision. Joshua easily contained Parker.

Joshua beat Klitschko in spectacular fashion eventually ending his career whereas Fury played cat and mouse for 12 rounds and ran away from a rematch. Joshua slipped up against Ruiz first but then defeated him easily playing cat and mouse for 12 rounds. For Fury it's a masterclass and the same should be said for Joshua. He adapted and found a way to in.

Joshua has had the strongest run as world champion since the golden heavyweight 90's era. Fury has only defended against Wilder, Dullian Shyte and shot to bits Chisora.

Fury needs to beat Usyk or Joshua can rise again and have another strong run as champion. If Fury looses then Joshua is back in the game big time. Lets see is Fury ducks the rematch too unlike Joshua.
