I had Funeka winning 113-112. I do not feel it was a screw job that Campbell got the MD. What does **** me off is that 2 of the judges had Nate ahead by 3 and 4 points. The only judge that seemed to be watching the same fight that I was watching was the South African judge who had it 113-113 even. :deal I can see Nate winning by maybe a point or 2, but 4 points is ridiculous. The Cintron - Martinez Draw was just a miscarraige of justice. Like him or not (and I really dont care for his tactics) Martinez won almost every round and had a knockdown to go with it. 1 point deducted should not have been close to enough to make it a draw. Watching Cintron dance like some stripper on the ropes after the fight made me furious :fire. He knew he was the real loser. Any thoughts....
**** Cintron:twisted: Campbell Funeka could have been have been a draw or like you said by 1 or 2 rounds. I gave Campbell the 8th and the 9th but those two could have gone either way.
I had Funeka winning by a round, and Martinez winning 117-110. I guess I could see how someone would score the fight for Campbell, but 115-110 is outrageous. Do you realize that even if Funeka hadn't have been knocked down a second time, he still would have lost the fight. As for the draw in the first fight, I think the end of the knockout round alone warrants further investigation by the commission.
the two knockdowns and the fact that Nate won the last round is probably why, but it was a close call too close to call but no way was Nate winning by 4 lol
Agreed that should have been a wide UD for Martinez. Sickening. Cintron is a whole other headache too. All the cursing after being counted out and after the decision to his gay ass rope dance. He knows he didn't get headbutted too. The man knows the difference between a headbutt and a punch. He gets caught with one good, and backs up to the ropes to take a knee. Then waits for the ref to count him out to start complaining. We can't have refs being influenced by fighters like that. Those two judges scoring for Campbell were way off too.
The third bad decision was putting Rivera in with Angulo. Cosme couldve really gotten hurt tonight if it wasnt for the official. No way his corner was going to throw the towel in.
I think the commission should review it also just to be thorough. Ever since Holyfield - Lewis it seems to be the cool thing to do in this sport once every couple of months and I'm f*cking tired of it as I'm sure the competitors are.
Agreed. The fight should have been stopped about 20 - 25 seconds earlier after he had Rivera in trouble the 2nd or 3rd time.
Agreed I'm watching the west coast replay now and that ref just got close and watched the man take a good minutes worth of flush shots. Rivera had nothing left in that last round.
I had Campbell winning, not a draw, Campbell deserved the win, no doubt within my mind. Harold Ledermann is an idiot.
The knockdown in the 11th and winning round 12 was at least clear to me! I did not have problems with the decisions, I actually had it 114-113 campbell.
I think one of the judges actually had it 114-112 for Campbell. which means he had the fight even on rounds, but the 2 extra points for the knockdowns gave Nate the edge. Although the other judge I think had it 115-111.
I had Campbell winning pretty comfortably. I think it's tough to give Campbell more than 7 rounds (I gave him 6), but in at least half the rounds Campbell landed more of the effective punches, and Funeka just kept hitting Campbell on the gloves and elbows most of the night anyway. Martinez-Cintron was a robbery.
