Over the past 5 years, we've been continuously hearing how Floyd was avoiding Pacqiauo etc etc.

If Floyd was scared of Pacqiauo.....why has this fight been signed now? A scared person doesn't just suddenly wake up one day not afraid anymore

Pac****s claim that Floyd has now decided to fight Pacqiauo because Pacman is older and.vulnerable. If this was the case.....why didn't Floyd jump at the chance when Marquez KOd Pacqiauo? Surely that was Pacqiauo at his most vulnerable?

My second point, Floyd has looked amazing over the past few years, yet Pac****s claim Floyd was the one who was scared.

As soon as Mayweather showed vulnerabilities in his last fight, against Maidana....the fight is signed.

Pacqiauos team.and Pac****s have been claiming Floyd has done the ducking. The louder someone shouts the more full of **** they normally are. Amir Khan being another great example.

Floyd looks amazing over the past few years, the fight isn't made. As SOON as Floyd showing hes slipping, the fight is made straight away.

The fight was only signed because Floyd looked vulnerable.

How many ****ing times you ****ing idiot

the reason he has taken it now is a combinations things one of them is him believing pac is shot and also moonves forcing him to fight pac DO YOU GET IT NOW? YOU GET IT?

FLoyd cherry picked maidana for the second fight after beating him they he won both fights maidana was just a bad style match up..........

If you're going to think that way, you're going to waste one of the greatest and most anticipated events in Boxing history by allowing virtual keyboard losers to manipulate your thoughts. Fact is, BOTH fighters aren't in their primes and both have proven to be vulnerable because of it and that makes this fight more even.

As far as the time it took to make the fight is concerned, it's 99% business related. Both fighters talked about each other to hype up other fights and make more money elsewhere using that hope people had that they will fight next to maximize profits rather than blow it all on one big night. In the end, this sport is their main jobs and primary source of money and they will use anything they can to make as much money as they possibly can. Now that there are no other options and they are both coming close to retirement, it's the perfect time to finally cash out and make it. Fear has nothing to do with it, fearful people won't, don't and can't make it this far in the most dangerous sport in the world and dominate at the very top level.

The fight is signed as soon as Floyd shows hes slipping, this is pretty self evident.

If Floyd really wanted Pacqiauo to get old, he could have gone straight after him after the Marquez KO

Whether Mayweather wants this fight or not it has finally been forced on him by the top brass at CBS.

    Really?

The fight is finally signed and still all these threads about who ducked who and who forced who into what etc.

Sounds like some of you guys would be happier watching soap operas than following boxing.

The 2 things we as boxing fans can/should all be able to agree on:

    1. The fight SHOULD have happened in 2010
    2. Thank F its finally signed

Can you explain how it was "forced on him"??

He has a legally binding contract. He cant be "forced" into any fight.

What was the worst thing CBS could have done if Floyd said "go **** yourselves, Im fighting Khan"?

    Take your time.

They would of taken legal action and not air his fights(not pay him anymore) so when you have that option you can only sign to fight pac:hi:

Bottom line moonves calls the shot's

Regarding the first point, Floyd wanted to see how Manny would react after KTFO6. It would have ruined many a fighter, but not all. Floyd's apprehensive enough to wait and see. Manny was still able to beat Bradley after the KO so it shows Floyd did the right thing

Regarding the second, you're right. Team Pacquiao have time and time again waited until a fighter has shown vurnerability (to put it mildly) before agreeing to fight them - Marquez, Morales, Mosely, Margarito, Hatton et all

But in this instance i dont think their plan was to wait on Floyd looking vurnerable. I think it's just how times played out. This fight above all is about MONEY - two guys at the tail end of their careers wanting a slice of that delicious Team Elite pie

People say mayweather was forced to fight, and if he was I don't see what the big deal is because we should be happy... However I don't buy that he was forced to fight because if he was, a man like Bob Arum who hates Floyd, would not have given Floyd the upper hand in negotiations and conceded to everything that floyd wanted... If bob knew that floyd was going to be forced to fight, bob would have made sure pac had the upper hand in negotiations instead of giving Floyd everything that he wanted. But that makes too much sense for dumbass for haters
