This year has been really good, or is it just me ? All we are missing is Mayweather Pacquiao.

I couldn't care less about Pac-May at this point. I'm fed up boxing is a sport 3k years of history and will go on without them fighting

Oscar says ratings and ticket sales are way up? LOL whatever.

What Golden Boy match drew great ratings? Alvarez-Hatton? Greenberg at HBO tried to claim that it got 1.4 million views but in reality it got less than a million. Fact is the boxing execs at HBO are sweating it trying to save their jobs because things have been going so bad recently.

Here's a good article on how things have deteriorated badly even from a few years ago:

edit: oops, can't link to that site.

just google "HBO boxing's declining ratings" and click the first result.

Basically the upshot is that there was a big todo about Kessler-Calzaghe being the lowest rated HBO world boxing broadcast in history with about 1.6 million live viewers. That was in 2007. But HBO would kill for those "low" ratings now.
