2 judges didn't give Kovalev a round after the 6th

What rds did you give to kovalev in the second half?

 

Boxing scene staff had scored the fight 114-113 Ward!!

 

Hopefully Kovalev learns from this experience.

 

Watched it live with a mate. we both box. know the scoring criteria etc. we didnt give him a round after 5. can you reccomend a round i got wrong ill rewatch when i can find a clear copy of the fight

 

Reddit had it the same way and are clearly alot less bias. facebook and ESB are prob the worst when it comes to judging a fight

 

RD 10. Close rd, but gave it to Kov, Ward showboated at the end Kov landed punches and took the rd imo.

 

I did think De La Rosa probably did enough to win the opening bout, after getting dropped and losing the first 3 rounds. Stevens hurt his hand after the 3rd round and DL Rosa pretty much took over. But then DLR started showboating towards the end and it may have cost him.

The only way i could see Stevens winning it was he was up by 4 pts after 3 rounds and in a 10 round fight that's hard to overcome. The 2nd fight I don't think there was anything wrong with it, that was a stoppage. The 3rd fight was a bit surprising, I wasn't really paying much attention to that fight TBQH, so I wouldn't say "the entire undercard was crooked", but I can see your point if you just watched Perez Hooker.

 

I will be rooting for you guys on top of Macchu picchu with my picket fence protesting the fight verdict.

 

And that's why it's a robbery. You'd have to be blinded by something to think Ward won every round after round 6.

If either judge gave 1 round to Kovalev, he wins the decision. Kovalev won round 10 and 12. There was another round where he arguably won where he had Ward hurt, but Ward hid it well. That last half of the fight was close and competitive, so there is no way in hell Ward won all 6 rounds.

 

I wouldn't call it a robbery but I will call it sour grapes.

How did you see the fight?

 

Yep, as I said give Kovalev the clear early rounds and after that just score every close round to Ward. Because most of the rounds were close in the 2nd half. And I see it happen all the time, not just this fight. With one fighter in a fight just automatically receiving any round that's close/could go either way amongst the scorers..

 

live round by round scoring should be clear from bias.... and both the places that hypes fights and the scene scored it 114-113 to ward.... just like the judges
