I agree with those judges. Ward swept the 2nd half of the fight.

Doesnt matter, 80 percent of the world besides the judges and fan boys saw Kovalev won clearly. This is a robbery.

Round 9? Of all of the rounds to debate this round obviously goes to Ward. Kovalev just didn't do much the second half of the fight, to be honest he didn't do much beyond the 3rd round.

I had Ward winning 114-113, but gave Kovalev the tenth (clear) and the twelfth (close). So even though I agree with the overall score of these judges, I have to say that this seems a bit off.

    I have posted a more detailed breakdown elsewhere, but my score was;

    Kovalev - Ward

    10-9
    10-8
    10-9
    9-10
    9-10
    9-10
    9-10
    9-10
    9-10
    10-9
    9-10
    10-9

    113-114

After the knockdown and the somewhat desperate third round Ward managed to dictate the fight and make Kovalev's obvious power a non-factor.
I can agree that some rounds could be give to Kovalev on the merit that he is the reigning champ (which influenced me giving him the twelfth), but in the end I gave the majority of the close rounds to the boxer who controlled the style and pacing of the fight and this was Ward most of the time. He seemed very comfortable in there in the last half of the fight.

First, in my opinion it does matter if it is a champ or not, since the contester needs to perform better than the current champion to be eligible to take champs place, if he shows same level or below (below but close is Wards case) contester doesn't deserve that win.

Second, I am not asking about anything, I am just telling the fact that all judges were totally biased in their decision and gave all close rounds to contester which is impossible in any other situation.

Talking about credibility, that's funny when you speak about credibility as it seems you are ok that all close rounds were given to Ward, but you are not ok if the same applies to Kovalev.

I hope so but Ward dominated the 2nd half of the fight. I think Ward will get into gear earlier in the rematch.

Ward had success in the middle of the fight, but he lost the championship rounds on my (and many other) cards. Hardly dominant.

80 percent of the people watching would disagree. kovalev had general control throughout the match, Ward won at most 5 rounds. Which is why this is considered a robbery, what did the judges see that nobody else besides fan boys saw?

No way Kovalev won 5 of the first 6 rounds. you could easily give Ward 5 and 6. 3 and 4 were swing rounds.

Every major news outlet had Kova winning, many boxing gurus had Kova winning including the people watching the fight. The judges and a couple of fan boys are the only ones that saw what no one else saw. Deal with the fact that Ward needed Murican judges to get what he wants. Remember it is the judges that DO the robbery and cause controversy, which they did in this fight.

I had Ward winning 5 rounds too. 1 in the first 6 and 4 in the next 6. Kovalev 115-112. Ward won the last 6 rounds by 4 rounds to 2 (Kovalev won 5 of the first 6 rounds).
