About as exciting as watching him work the heavybag. These "highlight" videos of beating up tune-up nobodies are meaningless.
You have to admit Boystoy is one of the most exciting heavies out there, is actually pretty active (until his injury at least) and quite young. I think he might be the successor of the Klits when they are both retired in a couple of years.
:thinkGotta admit I enjoyed it: I like the aggression he shows. We'll see how it translates when he gets some name opponents.
That victim at the 1:00 mark. BOystov lands a jab, then steps in and lands an amazingly brutal straight right from very close in, and has full followthrough. Nice! He certain seems to be the most promising.......probably more so than Povetkin.
I have been excited a bit too often in the last 15 years by guys who knocked out a couple tune-ups and then either disappear or get knocked out themselves. That's why I stopped getting excited about the "next hypejob". Boytsov hasn't displayed many qualities that are needed at the top. That doesn't mean he doesn't possess them but he simply didn't have a chance to show them off, considering the level of opposition he has fought. I'll get excited about Boytsov after he beats 2-3 guys like Chambers/Peter/Chagaev. It doesn't even have to spectacular wins, he just has to show he has what it takes to hang with these guys.
That Boytsov video is just about as devastating as the young Tyson. We have a new star in the heavyweight division.
Boytsov looks a little bit like a big Teddy Bear. Perhaps he needs someone who is able to give him a nice hug.
