I think Gamboa troubles him a lot more than Juanma, Gamboa to win a ud but John to keep distance from Juanma. Juanma could catch him late on though
Honestly we've already seen that John can be hurt, but i do believe he'd be able to outbox Juanma. Gamboa I'm no so sure of.
Gamboa is the man. Johns a legend but this Gamboa kid is something else. These cuban prospects comin through are ridiculous. its almost unfair how much talent they have. I mean i think Rigondeaux's got more talent in his big toe than i ever had.
right now i've got john in both. i agree with everyone else, though, that he has a lot more trouble with gamboa. i'm always impressed with john's intelligence and he's got kind of an awkward style that would give just about anyone a hell of a time. as he gets a little older and these two get more experienced, the tables turn.
John could or would cause Juanma nightmares...Juanma struggles with movers and John can box beautifully. Juanma tends to load up and as another thread says he's getting slower so John could take his 0 if he doesn't fix up.
John's a good boxer, but I think he'll be kissing the canvas this time around. Gamboa and Lopez's power may be too much for John IMO
