2 Questions about boxing training methods

    1st I read somewhere that target mits were not used by old school trainers or if they were it was early on in a fighters development

    the writer said target mits are bad because the one holding the mits feeds the targed and pushes it to the punch, also mits dont hold steady so when you deliver a blow they move, also that when doing the mits a trainer cant correct issues in foot work cause they cant see the feet and that a heavy bag is closer to a body and allows boxers to use their own combinations and work a target htat doesnt move when hit

    is this right are mits good or bad or what

    2nd how much does power lifting really effect boxing, is there a correlation between muscles and punching power
