If Witter owns any version of the world title by the end of 2009 I'll eat my own ****.If he owns 3,well...who knows
I don't recall Hatton slagging Mayweather off publicly for years. He said that he thought he had the style to beat Mayweather but never talked **** about Floyd.
I think you would do the same if your rival never gave you a shot. There gets a point where frustrations boil over, when you realise there is no way to do this amicably. Hatton always wriggled out of situatons, even when he had it in his contract the fight should be made. The only option was to tear Hatton down, and try and reel him in, just as Hatton did to Mayweather.
I'll **** myself laughing if Witter is undisputed by the end of the year and Pacman smashes Hatton to bits.
Don't buy your colostomy bag just yet. Pac might well beat Hatton but Witter has a loooooong way back to even get a decent version of the title.
I say good luck to Witter. I don't understand why any boxing fan would begrudge him picking up a couple of alphabets and making some money from them. We sure as hell know Hatton isn't going to give him a chance.
It may be a case of cause and effect.I think Witter ruined his chances by slagging Hatton off constantly. Not the other way round(Witter bitching because he didn't get a shot)Also he is boring like he stated in that video and can't sell out a village hall.Hattons motivation these days is $$$ and a fight vs Witter isn't nearly as lucrative as the fights hes looking at so even if Witter is IBF,WBC and WBO champ by the end of the year(this will not be the case)the fight will not happen
I will be interested to see what Witter can do with the more basic style he employed in his last fight. Maybe he realises he's lost his speed and reflexes with age. Now he's really sitting down on his shots more than he ever did. Might pay off for him, but we'll see. Depends who he can get in the ring. He already had a close fight with Kotelnik, somewhat controversial, but thats surely a go-er. Likewise, Mr. Holt, who has some shaky whiskers.
I think we all accept the fight has long gone how. We're referring to the days before Hatton was a superstar.
Even then,he was the man at 140 domestically. Why would you risk that against a man who is as disrespectful as JW was?
BTW,will Witter really get a shot at the Bradley/Holt winner by beating Devon Alexander?Thats bull**** if its true
