Yeah, it is a tad bit of a drive, 7 hours or so...the Inland Northwest Tournament should be in Spokane in March though, so I might be entering that and be there (depends, I don't like fighting in Spokane). But if you ever want to come out to train our way shoot me a PM and you're more than welcome to stay a few days, go through our work outs with us and everything (we do 3 days a week, Tues. Weds. Thurs.) and I work out outside those days anyway.
Hi Kirk! all those excercises will increase your body strength and punching power as long as you keep doing boxing training also. But don't skip the other muscle groups that you liked to work before. Work all muscles if you're gonna do weight lifting. transform all muscles from feet to fist into one monster muscle that you hit your opponent on the chin with. having strong legs will give you more punching power if you throw your punches correctly because the power starts from the legs. You don't need to grow huge legs, just make sure they are strong, it will also help you stand up to punches better. But remember, work your other muscle groups aswell.
you are the guy that learnt about boxing from reading joe fraziers book you fraud. somebody quote me.
