His and Lou Duva's fault Meldrick should have responded to Steele and Duva should have told his fighter to stay away in the 12th rather than go for it and he distracted Taylor while Taylor tried to respond to Steele

 

**** you, you don't have any idea what that type of fight takes out of a fighter because you sit at home and watch it from a tv screen.

 

One of the worst stoppages of all time. And it wasn't the only time Steele pulled some shenanigans for a Don King fighter, either.

 

Taylor was phisically, mentally, and emotionaly busted up in that fight, though winning most of the rounds (if not all). Taylor did the fatal mistake of getting caught in the corner in the 12th round. I feel for Taylor but I do feel Steele did the right thing.

 

So I take it that none of you's read the book :think

 

I did not read it. I did watch HBO legendary nights on it. Saw what I had to

 

I heard it was very good.

Been meaning to get it for some time now.

 

But the thread isn't about whether or not Taylor should have been stopped, it was about the book "2 seconds from glory"

 

Yeh but if the Refferee of the Chris Eubank vs Michael Watson II fight had stopped the fight, at the end of 11 round...? people would of complainned...

How ignorant can you get. The guys dream was shattered because of 2 ****ing seconds. Shocking. You seen the guy now? Once a great young star, and now an old, punch drunk, has-been. It's sad.
