2 World Class Fighters That Met Early in Their Careers

    Hi guys, I was just trying to think of some examples of this myself the other day. Do you know of any fighters who met early in their careers (pre-contender stages) and then went on to both have world class (or even respectable) careers? I'm sure it would have been more common pre-modern era.......

    This might be somewhat a bad example: Nelson-Sanchez. But at that point Sanchez was already a world class fighter....and Azumah...

    Moreso in the amatuer ranks. One example would be Forest and Mosely.

    There are many others, too.

    Tszyu and Forrest in the amatuers. Then two guys who aren't brilliant fighters, but still good, Mundine and Sam Soliman met quite early on in their careers. A lot of times its rare, because of the way fighters are managed in modern boxing.
