Well the magic demons in Pacquiao's head might cause him to lose if he has to take blood before a fight. Except for the Josh Clottey fight, or Ricky Hatton fight...

Personally, Good for Mayweather and good for Boxing. NYSAC is making moves to bolster their testing which will help clean up the sport even more now that one of the Meccas of boxing is becoming tougher and the face of boxing is also using harder testing. Add that in with Sauerland Promotions doing it and pretty soon a good number of elite boxers will have to undergo testing.

Depends if he gets his license back. People seem to think his ban was for only one year. It was at least one year. That year has passed but no state has agreed to give him his license back yet.

If one of them tested positive before the fight. is the fight off? Is the testing includes the under cards? If not, this is a joke. After all Floyd wants to clean boxing.

2yrs ?Whats was Margarito's penalty for a yr ?Though I beleive their should be some strict penalties for doping but tell me what major sport has a 2yr ban for failed drug tests ??

The problem with a 2yr ban in a poor man's sport is that sadly it takes away from the sport ..It should be a 3 strike deal based on the offense .

The problem with all this doping mess is the advancements in supliments etc etc ..

  10. So this is how Floyd's going to get out of fighting Mosley and Manny? He's going to test positive for second-hand crack smoke inhalation and be banned long enough for Shane and Pacquiao to retire.

Good points. Closer monitoring of anyone testing positive would be a better answer. Some guys take them not to get ahead but to keep up with those that do. Things aren't always so black and white.

Since this is a problem with all sports I think all countries need to get together and have one policy for all athletic testing. Only way this will really work. Right now New York may have done nothing more than lost business to other states.
