Just watched the thrilla in manilla documentary and it has me thinking. If Frazier was as good as he was with limited sight in one eye then what would he have been like if he was 20/20? Top 5 ATG heavy/Top 10 ATG? Thoughts please people......:thumbsup
Must have mixed it in with the glue used on the bottom of their boots coz i'm ****ed if i know what kept them on their feet!!!!:nut
I actually think it wouldnt made a difference, he would still always give ali hell and lose to foreman. the rest he beat. By the way I dont like that docu it is biased as hell, I think it is wrong what Ali did to frazier but they were on step away fo claiming he would next be using pregnant women as a heavybag, they really made a devil out of him in that docu.
Fair comment but the only one i've seen from the prospective of the Frazier camp. Maybe it was about time that they thought it's about time we made Ali look bad in the same way he had done to Frazier? ****ing awesome fight trilogy though!:bbb:bbb:bbb
the person who annoyed me the most was actuall from the Ali camp, ferdie pacheco claiming how dumb frazier is. I really wanted to smack him ttough the screen, who does this arrogant ***** thinks he is that he can talk about one of the best boxers of the 70's like that. He has made money of his rep from being in the ali camp, yet doesnt come of the high horse and downplays other boxers also during his days in commentating.
Pacheco comes across as a complete and utter piece of sh*t. I wanted to see Frazier punch him in the face. That would have been a great end to the movie.
when I watched Facing Ali what amazed me was the testimonials of other HW fighters of that era regarding Frazier. The man had earned the respect of his peers.
How is that documentary by the way, I still need to see it. Im affraid it will be biased like most Ali documentaries, I like it but i have seen that already. Its like reading a biography on a famous person in history and it gets hyped up by the groupie author. Or is it actually refreshingly good?
