I think the most powerful left-hand from vs southpaw I've ever seen actually belonged to Adonis Stevenson.
He would land it and it was game over.

Winky reminds of a southpaw Starling but with a jab.

Limon was a very underrated body puncher- he could really dig downstairs.

Pea was a once in a lifetime talent.

Always curious if Everett hadn't been murdered what he could have achieved in boxing.

Boza -Edwards is the southpaw version of Matthew Saad Muhammad.

Daniel Santos who was a tall southpaw out of Puerto Rico never gets mentioned even when he beat Antonio.

Zaragoza fought EVERYONE. From Lora to Fenech he fought them. And he seemed to get better with age.
His fights with Banke are the Ali/Frazier of the jr.feather weights.

Excellent got your ranking entered @Saintpat glad see you enter yours :)

@Mark Dunham good start and observations, would love to hear would you would have as a 15. The reason why I kinda but it in this case is not only to turn people onto these boxers who may be in a more casual audience, but also show from more seasoned boxing fans who would be submitting these surveys, what makes these top Southpaws so special and above the rest. So yeah in this case, order does matter, but I feel what you mean.

    @Cobra33 great observations.
Part of why I love the top 15 of all time, there are just something special of these people, each in their own way. Southpaws can be unique in their own way and it is great what varieties can just happen with just a simple stance change. Great stuff.

    Hello Boxing Fans,

Hope all is well to you all. This would be the original deadline to the GREATEST SOUTHPAWS OF BOXING SURVEY but due to the great research and community involvement, I extended the deadline to MARCH 5th, 2022! (If a Mod can help me change the title of the thing to reflect that, that would be great)

Thank you to those who completed their survey. You will be credited in the video when it is released.

Keep up the great work everyone. Feel free to fill out your top 15 if you have your thoughts, it really makes things interesting seeing how things unfold. Plus, with this, it gives people a good insight on who really are the "Greatest Southpaws".

I think you're right. I have made the schoolboy error of judging potential rather than actual achievement and, even notwithstanding the war in Ukraine and how that might derail them, both are running put of time to realise that potential.

Hoping they keep safe in their homeland.

havent given it much thought. I only know that hagler & Camacho who coincidentally, were in their primes at the same time!

Those are the two best I've ever seen

after that I'd probably throw in people like Nunn, Calzaghe, Pernell

Joe had a lot of success and ended his career undefeated but I don't believe he'd have the same success had he faced Roy Jones in his best years

If it speeds the process up, you can just go with my selections and throw out the other votes. (G)
