Wlad is obviously technically superior to Sanders in every way, but there is always a punchers chance, especially at HW.

Today's version of Wlad could KO sanders inside 5 rounds.

You need to study up on the events leading up to and the condition of the fighters.

Not only did Wlad beat him later, he beat him easily. Not to mention that the 2011 version of Wlad is 100% improved and would beat the daylights out of any version of Brewster.

Do you have a better argument for a thread like that?

I had a joy of reading some ultra stupid posts in this thread including thread starter.
Rocky Marciano beating today's Wlad etc.

If the thread starter was any smarter he would ask " Who could outbox Wlad?" Until now we have not seen it yet. One exception could be Sanders fight.

when you talk about 190 pounders having zero chance against Wlad I hope your not thinking of destroyers like marciano and Louis as you mention the likes of Byrd - Louis often would KO a 240 pound HW with punches that barely travelled 12 inches - and marciano would die in the ring before fighting a haye type fight as that was just the way he was.

1988 Tyson would Ko wlad in under 4 rounds - if wlad came to fight that is , he could do a tony tucker/bonecrusher smith and hold on for 12 rounds dropping a UD.

I'd throw out 75% of the guys from that list. They'd get a one-sided beating from Wlad and he'd make it look so easy it'd be embarrassing. I'm talking Marciano, Valuev, Tua, Frazier, Norton, Douglas, Moorer, Louis etc. etc.

Good interesting matchups for Wlad would be Lewis/Ali/Bowe/Holyfield/Holmes.

Marciano and Louis have 'destoyed' dock workers and cab driver bums.

There's this huge myth people 100 years ago somehow had superhuman power and could punch through brick walls even though they weighted only 190lbs, had **** training conditions and horrible diets.

Why is boxing the only sports where athletes from 50 or 100 years ago would school modern era competitions? Would a 1970s Arthur Ashe whip today's Roger Federer in tennis? What about the 1930s Jesse Owen in 100m content vs. Olypmic gold sprinter Ursain Bolt? Who'd win?

Well for a start maybe you should look at the tools of the trade. Give Fed a wooden racket and have him play on the surfaces that AA played on instead of his carbon fibre racket and synthetic strings and rebound ace court, or have Bolt run on a cinder track with no starting blocks etc.
Boxing has fundamentally remained the same, techniques and skills from yesterday are still effective today, the lack of equipment used in boxing has meant that there have been few technological advances made or required. If training methods have improved so much why are top boxers unable to fight more frequently, why do they suffer so many long term injuries? Why do so few cope with 12 rounds when boxers historically have coped comfortably with 15?

Common sense post right there. I also realize you aren't exactly a big fan of Wlad but at least you're honest & realistic. :thumbsup
