He’s earned it tbf. I don’t care for Ryan as a fighter, but the guy uses 100% of his energy when it comes to promoting himself. Bivol and Beterbiev are genuine tough, no bs guys with elite talent, but that doesn’t matter in the entertainment business if no one knows who they are.

if as a promoter you cannot get people to pay for two legit ATGs fighting for undisputed, a devastating puncher vs a speedster pure boxer, then I don’t know what to say to everyone involved with marketing this.

Beterbiev should be REAL easy to market. Spam commercials of his highlight reel KOs, have him do some Ivan Drago voiceover while chopping wood or some **** at the end.

 

This is why boxing is farked. Second rate duckers with the highest fanbase get an inordinately large percentage of the total boxing revenue, while the real quality fighters get next to nothing. Look at the history for Beterbiev and Bivol in terms of purses, extremely low, while they are levels above Jake Paul, Ryan Garcia, Canelo, Broner, Spence and other pretenders.
