Young George vs Tyson at any point in his career is Decapitation in 2 Rounds by George.

Lyle did hurt George, but the thing that is funny about that, is that, the reason Lyle did, is because there was a serious change in George's style after Zaire. Look at George's 3 fights before Ali, then look at Lyle fight and you will see, there is a serious fear of running out of gas after Ali

Agree on all counts. Young Mike would get his shots in before he’s ruined by an uppercut that likely lifts him off his feet, just like Frazier.

George beats Mike into hamburger meat, rolls him into a patty, drops him on that George Foreman grill and then eats him for lunch.

Tommy Chin /Saverese/Stewart stood right in front of Foreman several times and the "Hardest Puncher that has ever lived" according to Forum Gospel could not do jack....................Stewart and Saverese got waxed by a washed up Tyson in one round COMBINED............how long would Tommy last.....a couple of rounds max.

Foreman's claim to fame is stopping a feeble minded glass chinned Ex Light Heavy with average pop at best at Heavy in the 11th hour after taking a beating..................Moorer was pure glass and fat One trick Pony Tua dusted him in mere seconds.....

Just keep those rose tinted glasses on..................

I was talking about young Foreman doing that to Tyson, I admittedly didn’t make that clear in this post. If you will refer to my post before that you will see that I said young Tyson is an atrocious matchup for old Foreman.

It's great you made a joke out of it because if you were serious (I'm not talking about the hamburger part) you'd be in that "delusions of grandeur" branch all by yourself...with all the other delusional Foreman fandom on this forum.

Tyson waxes Foreman. Absolutely annihilates him.

Speaking of hamburgers, he'd turn Foreman's face into a Big Mac, SUPERSIZED Alex Stewart style!!

Exactly. Every single time he stepped up his comp he got his azz beat.

He has Cooney and Moorer, and that's being generous, on his ledger.

And like Larry Holmes so eloquently put it, "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut some time!"

I don’t think Foreman fandom is delusional. He’s No. 5 on my personal ATG list, reflecting both his “careers.” But he’s not in his dotage beating prime Mike Tyson. No way.

I’d favor Mike Tyson to either force a late stoppage or decision but I don’t think it would be the one sided mismatch that a lot of people at the time thought that it would be

I don't think so either, in fact George was way ahead of Mike in terms of ring IQ at that stage.

That said, George would get hit by way too many shots, look way worse than against Stewart. Mike by a clear UD.

Holyfield was close to a mismatch............only because Holyfield decided to brawl a few times got Foreman some shots in, he had to wear glasses for two weeks straight because he was all banged up.

Stepping stones like Stewart and Saverese ran him razor close.

Until the 11th hour lucky punch Moorer used him as a punch bag and pretty much won every round......until said punch it was a mismatch

Tommy Chin gets a lot of flak around here yet he handily defused Foreman.

But Foreman knew his limitations way better than Forum experts, after getting a gift vs hand picked cream puff Schulz he rather would be stripped of all belts before fighting anyone with a pulse.

Comeback Foreman was a excellent Money Manager who took the least risks for maximum return.....in that regard he was smarter than his contemporary foes Ali and Frazier.

Foreman's intelligence is highly under rated, IMO, he is the most intelligent out of the big three of the 70's, Frazier/Foreman/Ali.

Because he trained with Sonny Liston and learned how to develop a powerful jab. It's obvious.

???? Tyson's going to stick and move? Mike comes forward , that's what he does throwing hooks . It's an incredibly dangerous fight for Tyson, even with an old Foreman.

Tyson was waaay closer to his peak/prime at 20 than Foreman to his at 45.
