I'm gonna go with the Duke. At this point Holyfield was slipping, not done but slipping. The last guy he needs to face is a heavy hitter like Tommy. Holyfield s not stopping him I believe, in fact I think Tommy looks like King Kong in this fight and hammers him. By mid fight, Tommy finds a second wind and lay s in to his man. It would be a rare time that EH is knocked to the canvas but I do see it happening.
I think holyfield chops him...Morrison too succeptable to cuts and holyfield was an old old master with the head butts , especially around 2000. It would have been a sloppy, mauling affair with holyfield prevailing by 8th round ko
Could go either way imho. Prime Holy > Tommy but Morrison was no joke at his best either. 2000 Holy was a step down from his best. Holyfield might be too awkward for Tommy but on the other hand Morrison had some heavy heavy hands and Holy liked to exchange ...
Genuine question: When was Morrisons prime? Also, if Michael Bentt sparks him out, so does Evan Fields. Holyfield was slipping but still knew enough veteran tactics (read: using his head as a third fist) to frustrate Morrison who wasn't exactly known for having a high Ring IQ.
If 2000 Holyfield gets the hungover partying Morrison from the Bentt fight then yeah he destroys him.
You know, it's not out of the question that Morrison gets the slugfest he wants and still loses. Holyfield hurt more durable guys than Tommy.
January 2000 was only 47 days after the 2nd Lewis fight where Evander looked pretty good. Holy would win this, he still had his chin.
Morrison has a strong chance of pulling off a points win, but this version of Holyfield still had some left in the tank. Quite the nail biter.
