The ruiz of the holyfield fights vs the tyson that fought savarese francis and golota for ruiz WBA title. who wins?
I think Tyson has a good chance of winning early but ruiz could frustrate the hell out of him after the first 3 rounds, from then one tyson's chances would be down to just landing one big bomb when ruiz tries to fall into clinch after a punch.

Ruiz is a joke... See Botha fight for what Tyson did to a better fighter who also utilized smothering tactics at time.

Give Tyson a real good chance of getting an early KO in fact that would be my prediction. If that doesn't take place this one will become really dirty. Ruiz would be holding on for dear life I would likely tire out Tyson who'd resort to elbows and who know what else.

Botha wasn't doing bad for 4 rounds against tyson. Ruiz was a master of smothering and tying up. If he avoid s getting caught by a tyson bomb by the, sixth tyson will be struggling. That's just how tyson was at that point. Less dangerous the later the fight.

Don't rate Ruiz nearly as high as Botha... Botha could actually box in addition to being a master of smothering tactics, he just didn't have Don King behind him which allowed for rule bending, gift decisions, faking low blows for DQ wins - you name it. 2000 Tyson would have laid Ruiz out, make no mistake about it.

I'll agree with you on the don king part. Ruiz and Tony tucker were kings puppets

Botha was ahead going into the 5th and actually was outboxing Tyson handily.

Tyson had really lost his edge by then, although to give Botha credit, he's a lot more solid than his record would suggest.

I think Tyson had enough left to take Ruiz out. It might take a few rounds - Ruiz would grab, clutch, stall. But if Tyson can land he could turn Ruiz's lights out.

Ruiz avoided explosive opponents after getting massacred by Tua. He had a very well matched career. Tyson would take him out.
