Nearly everyone picking Hagler and some by stoppage... Going by this thread so far Marv might be the most overrated fighter on this forum.

Tough one to say. I really can't say. Hagler with the somewhat better fundamentals, but Bernard was wilier... And he was somewhat bigger to boot. Don't know if that would factor in much here, though.

What perhaps makes me lean towards Hopkins is the problems Hagler at times had with shrewd boxers. This version of Hagler is after all only two years removed from the one that lost Leonard.

Hopkins no marinated wine sauce, LOL he is 1 strange dude, nothing wrong with drinking alcohol when your not in training lots of Guy's enjoy wine, and beer in between fights, that wouldn't make any difference here at all..

Bottom line Hagler always came to fight in tip top shape, I just don't think in a long 15 round fight Hopkins would have the power to keep Hagler off him, especially in the later rounds...

I just don't see a good ending in this one for Nard..

Even though BHop boxes smartly, it won't save him. Hagler will rise to the occasion for this one and go into pit bull mode. When he does, he will wear X down slowly but surely. I like Hagler by late stoppage.

Leaning toward Hopkins SD. Hopkins was at least as tough and rough as Hagler, probably had a bit more burst in his legs at this point, and his height and unorthodoxy might give a past-prime Marvin problems.

I'd actually expect Hagler to come out guns blazing like he did against Hearns because of Hopkins' height and boxing ability.

    Hagler, easy.

Hopkins MW reign is massively overrated. Plus he's never seen someone like Hagler.

    Hagler gets him.

Got to be my man Hagler here. Points, because I don't think even he is stopping Hopkins.
