Incidentally, Tyson would have battered Foreman.

really i don´t pick even the best tyson 88 to beat old foreman 90-91 who faced cooney and prime evander. probably george would tko him in 7 rounds.
of course prime 73 foreman would give tyson the biggest beating of his life

 

Everybody called out Tyson during that time period because frankly a fight with Mike Tyson represented a significant payday. That's all George was after. A huge payday.

You have to understand that just because one fighter wants to fight another doesn't mean that its gonna happen, because frankly there is a lot that goes into making a fight.

Lets forget about the fact that Tyson was a Showtime Fighter and George Foreman was an HBO fighter Also lets also forget about the fact that Foreman was promoted by Bob Arum and Tyson was promoted by Don King and George Foreman didn't like Don King.


Bottom line is Don King was not going to get options on George Foreman. That was the deal breaker. Well that and Foreman' priced himself out of the fight (I'll find an article from a real publication to validate it).

Since nobody's stated the purpose of the thread I will: It's an attempt to bait Tyson fans into discrediting his own resume.

I don't think Tyson could go 12 at that point.
