Instead of 41 years old Wlad, its Lennox Lewis of his last bout with Vitali who steps into the ring with young AJ at Wembley Stadium.
Do you believe the 256lb version of Lennox could replicate what Wlad did for a great show as well?

    How would the bout go?

Lewis looked terrible against Vitali that night .... I think AJ outlands him and is able to win a decision or even late stoppage

Joshua stops him. Lewis was in range all night to be hit. Vitali didn’t punch hard enough to put him away early.

Lewis' chin wasn't the best, but he learned way too much from Steward to let Joshua get him. LL would be cautious...perhaps a bit much so...but would brain AJ in 9. TKO, possible KO.

He looked terrible because he was in with a better fighter than Joshua

It depends. He looked crappy against Vitali because he was starting to push 40, Vitali was better than Joshua, and the fact that Lewis was kind of overweight expecting to fight a 6'2 guy and took the much more formidable opponent Vitali on a 2 weeks notice. He probably expected Vitali to be another Andrew Golota tbh. All of these factors made Lewis look like trash that night.

Even with all those factors I'd still favor Lewis by stoppage but man it would be difficult. Maybe Aj might actually win. Its close

Now if were were a case where Lewis was training for Aj this would be a sort of difficult fight but Lewis would stop him by round 7.

Now if it were prime Lennox Lewis Aj would get washed LMAO

I see it as a scrappy but intriguing fight, with Lennox being hurt by AJ in the opening rounds. Lewis would look vulnerable and at times on the point of being stopped. But Joshua under estimates Lewis power and ends up on the receiving end of a power shot, that turns the fight around.
Has he did against Vitali, Lennox gets his last win.
    Lewis ko 5.

I'm always convinced that if we had the opportunity to see Lewis vs AJ at any Time in Their Careers, the results would be IMO the same:
Lewis stops AJ and wins by KO or TKO (70%), unless if Joshua caught him with his powerful right hand (30%).
Now I agree with all the replies here, Lewis was out of shape and was barely training for the Klitschko fight, and took it with 12 days notice and he was nearly 38.
I would say just like the vitali fight, AJ would probably beat the hell out of Lennox.....Atleast until Lewis starts to bull inside and beat his opponent to the jab like he did with Vitali....Once again, Joshua does have a puncher's chance though and might have knocked him out. That's if Lewis underestimate him.
And yes, indeed, i said that Lewis will get inside and beat AJ to the jab like he did with vitali because YES, this is exactly what Lennox did to Klitschko, unlike the fanboys answer which claims that Lennox caught him with a lucky punch that managed cut him to pieces, and if it didn't happen, Vitali, who was ahead on the scorecard, would have won the fight.
Yes Vitali was ahead but it didn't matter because Lewis had begun to rise on the cards after losing the first three rounds, he was catching up, and clearly would have won the fight.

yes he was all of those things. But Vitali Klitschko was better than Joshua and he still managed to win, even if it was controversially

So their respective H2H level at the time they fought could be:

    1) Lewis/Vitali (eventually wins with "stronger skin")
    2) AJ
    3) Wlad

    ??

Was Lewis really better than Wlad that night? Keep in mind that Wlad with 10% more finishing efford, or Vitali not shouting (or information from a future bout with Ruiz!) could have dropped AJ a second time that round.

    Vitali is better I agree

But AJ wouldn't cut like that

And AJ has the power to put Lewis away

tbh I've always thought that had Wlad gone for the kill against AJ when he had him hurt, he would've gotten it. Instead of listening to his brother who told him to box Joshua, allowing him to recover.

Fair enough. I still wouldn’t favor him though.

I don’t know if Lewis was better than Wlad in those respective evenings. But he might have been given that Wlad was about 3 years older and had been in active for well over a year. And Vitali was undoubtedly better than. AJ
