2005 Jeff Lacy vs 2008 Kelly Pavlik

Pavlik all day ..Lay always has trouble with anyone that can box ..Look at his fight with Sheika ..Pavlik would own him with the jab then break him down .

 

Lacy by KO ... those right hand bombs will land on Kels chin and demolish him ... even though in 2008 Kels is more polished and more skilled than ever.

 

Ah yes Lacy's ever dangerous right hand.

 

I'd favor Lacy slightly in this bout, although it could go either way.

Pavlik would have benefit of the jab, a tremendous weapon against Lacy, but even with that jab he always gets hit flush, even by mediocre fighters such as Lockett.

I can see Pavlik taking rounds but eventually getting caught and hurt badly by a Lacy uppercut. It's possible to see either man winning -- it would have been a sensational fight.

 

His right hand was very good in his prime. The uppercut, in particular, and he also had the big chopping right hand over the top. The Pemberton KO was a good example.

 

Calling him 'Left Hook' Lacy was just misdirection! A cunning ruse to lure his opponents into falling prey to his devastating right-hand bombs!

 

Lacy has a better chin ... Lacy has only been down once and that could be argued a push on Calzaghe's part.

He is quite a bit taller, yes.

Lacy TKO/KO or Pavlik by decision. I would lean towards the latter.

 

pavlik would have to keep this a boxing match. lacy would have to get closer to pavlik. i pick lacy by stoppage.
