    Pavlik knocks Lacy out.

Lacy was a short range puncher who liked to stalk and throw one bomb at a time. Do you honestly think he'd fare any better than Miranda who had a better straight right?

Pavlik pushes Lacy back and drops him after about 6 rounds of damage.

Lacy completely outslicks him and takes a clear decision.

read them before cuchulain and still laugh every time i see them.

no matter how many clowns call lacy a bum and claim they knew zag would beat them, i know they picked lacy and handed out all the eurobum bull**** before hand and bragged about how their ripped hero would smash the protected sissy.

i was at the MEN that night sat behind a group of arrogant **** lacy backers who couldn't stop talking before hand, their faces were a picture as the carnage unfolded.

Lacy did throw in combination from time to time, but true, Kelly's jab would cause him problems.

However, Jeff was even more aggressive than Pavlik and wouldn't be overpowered. Lacy was much more skilled than given credit, and we know Pavlik can be hit -- even by guys such as Lockett -- and hurt.

I'm one of the few here who admits I thought Lacy would win that fight. I thought it was 60/40 in his favor, Calzaghe able to outbox him but ultimately lured into a brawl, at which point Jeff would hurt him and stop him.

One of the most shocking and awful experiences I've ever had as a viewer was watching Calzaghe stand in the pocket and outslug Lacy without really breaking a sweat. The outcome was obvious after the second round.

Terrible night for me, but all credit to Calzaghe.

Here is the last we saw of vintage Lacy. You'll notice that he was much more mobile and skilled than Miranda, although also against even a B-fighter, he struggled against a jab.

It was clear in the first round that all the prognosticators had completely underestimated how great Calzaghe was (actually they didn't think he was great at all, it appears). For him to be that much better, better in every possible way you could be better, than a fellow and awe-inspiring Tysonesque IBF beltholder and "fighting machine". He wasn't just better in all those ways, he was miles better in every category. He was in a completely different class. How anyone could have doubted Joe after that fight escapes me.

Just shows how wrong prognosticators can be.

Yes, Lacy is beatable, everyone knows that. But Pavlik is as well, the fact that this is so lopsided shows general boxing fan idiocy.

Lacy had the mobility, delivery speed, chin and style to really trouble or beat Pavlik, that's what they are not understanding. Pavlik is **** backing up, he has no top boxing skill, Lacy would catch up to him and would be driving HIM back at times and one thing Lacy did have was solid timing, he could time in a bomb well at times perfectly and Pavlik is hittable, with a suspect chin.

Pavlik can win, but Lacy should be the favourite. Nobody has ever seen Pavlik perform against a natural 168 pounder anyway.

I mean come on, if Lockett can land some flush shots, Lacy isn't going to land his FAIR SHARE of flush shots?:nut

And nothing takes away the fact that the light hitting Taylor had him reeling in the first bout.

its inevitable now that people will vote for kelly pavlik, but at the time people were hyping lacy and if joe had not of wooped his ass more of the vote would have been for lacy, this same pole will happen in three years time with pavlik and some other new hype job, and as joe would of schooled pavliks ass, people will vote for the new hype train

Lacy is another Miranda. Minimal boxing ability with great power. He doesnt know to to adjust in the ring, which would lead to him losing against pavlik.
