Yeah, agreed. Don't forget though - Marg would be firing back with 100 shots a round on the inside. Hatton isn't exactly Pernell Whitaker is he? I would say Marg stops him around 8/9 rounds - in a competitive affair.
Cotto could a least use his movement for 5 or 6 rounds before Margo forced him into the trenches. With his style Hatton would have be in the trenches from round 1.
The Hatton of 2005 v The Margarito that fought Cintron for the first time in 2005; no contest, Margarito would kick the living **** out of him. It would go toe-to-toe, and in that scenario there is no hope for Hatton; Margarito butchers him. In fact 2002 Antonio Margarito, who fought Antonio Diaz in that year, would butcher him. 2008 Margarito would be plain murder, against any version of Hatton.
Not a problem, since you obviously need it. Margarito KO's Fatton at anytime in their respective careers.
Margarito by Knockout easy win, no point in even fighting Hatton, Margarito, too big, he would probably bust Hatton up so bad he would give up drinking beer for life just to get back into shape to make sure it never happened again, I say Margarito anytime over Hatton, you talking about a 140 less fighter fighting a 147 /154 fighter who has the metal chin. Thats like Terminator against super Ted.
Im a Hatton fan, but i dont see any way in which Hatton will be able to cope with the sheer size difference between him and Margarito. Also with Hattons poor defence it is not going to help when facing a person who just does not stop throwing punches. I see a late round tko victory for Margarito as he slowly but surely breaks Hatton down through the fight.
I guess you just choose to ignore all of Margarito's advantages? Also, you seem to not know that Margarito protects his body from body punchers extremely well.
in fact, i think the fight would look like pac vs delahoya, with hatton outsmarting, outworking, and confusing Margarito.. After Hatton takes care of Pac man, i say he should go up and take out cotto or margarito
Now you're just taking a ****.... There is absolutely NO real reason to think it would look ANYTHING like Pac vs. DLH other then what you HOPE it would be.
Just that Hatton is faster, more skilled, better footwork, better handspeed, great inside fighter, better trainer
Boxing isn't that simple, nor is choosing a winner basing it on advantages you give the guy you like. You think Hatton having Floyd sr. for one fight is really an advantage over Margarito and his trainer he's had his whole career? What exactly do you mean by better footwork? Hatton's foot work is nothing more then average. He doesn't employ the type of movement that says he has good footwork. Last I looked, Cotto was faster, lighter on his feet, more skilled, had a great inside fight, and looked what happened to him vs Margarito. Not to mention Cotto puts his punches together MUCH better then Hatton does and is the harder hitter. And Hatton was KO'd by Mayweather, who's not known for having a big punch @ 147. Do you take into consideration just how Hatton has looked in his two fights @ 147? Not nearly as good as he does @ 140. Either way, Hatton @ 140 would NOT beat Margarito @ 147 who had just beaten Cotto. WOUold be a gutsy move, but Hatton is simply too small.
