Prime, 2007 beast Pavlik, thay dispatched prime Miranda and prime Taylor, vs the beast from the east. Who wins this blood bath? Power very similar. Length, height etc clearly goes to Pavlik. Tactics, and maybe chin to GGG. Toughness has to go to Pavlik as he was more tested.Thoughts?

I wonder if the easter bunny could beat the tooth fairy?

The night before this coming easter I will put one of my teeth in a plastic egg and hope for the best.

Pavlik 2007 might have been too much for GGG

Boxing fans would win. As much as I like Kelly, I think he would eventually get worn down by GGG and stopped late. His determination and come forward style would see him badly brutalized, but not without landing some shots of his own. Golovkin seems to have more facets to his game, is harder to hit cleanly, and is not nearly as plodding as Pavlik when stalking opponents. There would be fireworks while it lasted, but that GGG power would carry the day, imo.

GGG is technically way too good for Pavlik. GGG eats guys for breakfast that stay in front of him, meanwhile GGG is very tough to hit cleanly. GGG by stoppage.

This one has been done several times...

Power isn't similar at all. Golovkin definitely punches harder, but he has never fought anyone with that unique combination of length, pop, skills and grit. Pavlik would find homes for the jab and right hand early and often, while setting up those nasty hooks and uppercuts at the same time.

I can definitely see Pav forcing GGG on to the back foot for extended periods of time(as he did against Miranda), negating his opponent's power in the process. I'll go with a Pavlik SD.

The same Pavlik from the first Taylor fight?
Still not sure how Pavlik made it out of that 2nd round. A lot of referees would've stopped that fight.
I think GGG wins by stoppage.

How about Pavlik vs GGG now? He only has 2 losses and has been on a winning streak since, hehe.

Have to see a bit more of GGG against top tier guys to decide this one.

That is a bit of the issue right now isn't it. Pavlik beat Taylor to become a break out star and proven champ, Taylor beat Hopkins, Martinez beat Pavlik. GGG just hasn't had his opportunity yet, however I'm more than confident he will soon.

Pavlik wouldnt see the 7th , too easy to hit.

Also I thought he lost the 2nd Taylor fight.

Long jab , chin and toughness would be tough for GGG this fight.

A jab isn't much problem for Golovkin. GGG is one of the best at countering and taking a jab away from an opponent. See this film study to see how he counters jabs:
