07 was a fantastic year for boxing and many said 08 would be even better and although theres a lot left this year is it still on to be better?

Hmm i think it could get better yet. There is still a quarter of the year left so we will see what happens. The fight that sticks out this year is Margarito-Cotto. Izzy-Rafa does as well but they fought last year so its not completely new.
I wonder who fighter of the year will be??

2007 was an epic year for boxing.

I don't think 2008 has been as good

Hard to beat 2007, but this year isn't over yet. I'm biased though cause I think Pavlik/Taylor I and Marquez/Vasquez I & II were some of the best fights I've ever seen

For 2007, you may add some of these...

Samuel Peter vs James Toney II
    Tomasz Adamek vs Chad Dawson
Marco Antonio Barrera vs Juan Manuel Marquez
    Cristian Mijares vs Jorge Arce
    Juan Diaz vs Acelino Frietas
    Jermain Taylor vs Cory Spinks
Ricky Hatton vs Jose Luis Castillo
Wladimir Klitschko vs Lamon Brewster II
    Antonio Margarito vs Paul Williams
    Bernard Hopkins vs Winky Wright
    Juan Diaz vs Julio Diaz
    Ricardo Mayorga vs Fernando Vargas
Manny Pacquiao vs Marco Antonio Barrera II

Well, most of those weren't too great.
At the very least, you probably just forgot Marquez-Barrera. :D
