    Damn, I missed it by a good 5 years. :-(

    I can't imagine how epic it was in 2007, with the start of the 24/7 series, Pacquiao coming up, Mayweather's superfights, Hatton coming up with Castillo, Hatton and Mayweather.

    Hell this board was probably in constant excitement over the many epic fights they got that year. :yep

    It was a very pleasantly eventful 3-4 years from when I joined in late '06 (although before that I'd been a main page article commenter for a year or two already)

    Everything you mentioned, up through when the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao buzz started to reach a head, and the advent of the Super-6, etc.

    We also had our best posters by far back then.

    Like brooklyn1550 (rip), kg0208, etc.

    I was probably not even top 100 in terms of meaningful contributions on here, to put things in perspective. Small fish in a big, deep sea.

    I was still kind of a borderline "casual" around then (mostly only following comeback Tyson and some the lighter weights guys that fought on HBO: Tapia, Barrera, Morales, Hamed etc), but yeah, turn of the century/millennium was a fantastic time in hindsight.
