I like Wladimir, he has good skills and I enjoy his fights but some of his fans have been going overboard lately about him beating the greatest heavys of all time.

Let's compare him against some these heavyweights from the 80's and 90's.

Mike Tyson 1988 - Wladimir has the tools to keep him at bay for a while but Tyson eventually will get inside and take him out. I don't see Wladimir hurting Tyson.

Evander Holyfield 1992 - Wladimir will be successful with his jab in the beginning of the fight but I think Holyfield's chin, determination and defense will propel him to a late TKO.

Riddick Bowe 1992 - Bowe was at his prime and he had great skills. He matches pretty well with Wlad when it comes to size and his skills are more complete than Wlad's. Bowe most likely by UD or even maybe a TKO.

Tommy Morrison 1993 - It will be tough for Morrison to get inside Wlad's reach but he was very good at timing right hands with his left hook and could catch him early. Since Morrison fades late in the fight and his chin is questionable, Wlad by mid to late TKO.

George Forman 1994 - Foreman still had great power and chin. Wladimir could very well outbox him, but he will be dangerous throughout the fight. I favor Wlad but he fades late and this could go either way.

Oliver McCall 1994 - Wladimir is not going to stop McCall and has to be ready for 12 rounds. I'm not too sure Wlad can last the whole 12 rounds without getting tired and making mistakes. McCall will catch him at some point of the fight and stop him.

Lennox Lewis 1998 - They match up very well in size and have a similar style but Lennox does everything a little better, was more fluid with his offense and defense. Lewis by late TKO.

Go watch Bowe and McCall when they were at their best first.

Tyson 1988 - Horrible matchup for WALD. WALD panics when attacked and no-one attacked quite like Mike back then. You say 'eventually catches up with him' I don't think WALD gets chance to get warmed up like that. Similar to Tyson V Golota, WALD might land a few but he'd be out of there inside of 2 rounds.

Holyfield 1992 - Holy by late stoppage. WALD might even score an early KD in this fight and be competitive until the mid rounds but after that Holy owns him. The jab n' grab would not work V Holy who would up the pressure every single round, WALD wouldn't survive.

Bowe - Simlar size, similar skills (although Bowe was a million miles better on the inside) but the difference in chin is vast. Doesn't take a genius to figure this one out, Bowe by TKO.

Morrison - This one is a toss up, both have suspect chins, both throw bombs. WALD if he boxes smart can win this, but if Morrison comes out slugging like Sanders could stop WALD too. If I had to bet on it I'd give WALD the nod in this one, mid round stoppage.

Foreman (1994 version) - Well Moorer had no problems out-boxing the old man until he got careless, I feel WALD wouldn't get careless with such a monstrous puncher and holds the speed and youth advantage, I'd give this to WALD also by wide UD. Foreman circa 1973 would absolutely **** WALD though, KO inside 2 rounds.

McCall - Yes Oliver has probably the best chin ever but this might not come into play here..McCall skills-wise wasn't the best ever, Bruno ********* him by fighting smart....could WALD? Maybe. This one is a pick-em. I believe Bruno would KO WALD early but if WALD fights cautious he could get a decision here, maybe like the PETERS fight when he had KD's against him. This also depends on which McCall turns up, obviously.

Lennox Lewis - Forget it. Lewis does everything better and has all the advantages, Lewis loved fighting guys that were taller than him, and a stand up fighter with a glass jaw is easy meat for Lennox. Lewis KO1.

    Tyson-
Has the power to KO Wlad, but then again, Iron Mike always had trouble with tall fighters with good jabs. Wladdy is one of the tallest with one of the best.

    50% 50%

    Holyfield
A better fighter than Tyson in many ways, but doesn't have the power which is the antidote to Wlad. Holyfield has to outlast him.

    60% 40% Split Commander Vander

    Bowe

Bowe had a great right hand, solid skills, a good, though not great chin, and was big enough to negate that reach that Wlad likes with the jab. Bowe was also a lazy ****er who areguably had one good fight in his carreer

    60% 40% split for Wlad

    Tommy Morrison

    Please

90% 10% spilt for Wlad. With proper drug testing, Wladdy all the way.

    George Foreman

Big, powerful, heavy jab of his own, great chin, iron will, arguably better stamina. Styles make fights, and this one is tough for Wladdy

    60% 40% for the preacherman

    Oliver MCCall

Mcall could get a good punch in like he did with Lennox, but I still say that if they fought ten times, Lennox would have one 9 based on having boxing skills, a longer reach, and the power to keep him honest. Wladdy is a similar fighter.

    80% 20% Wladdy

    Lennox Lewis
A more accomplished Version of Wladdy who worked dilligently to overcome every weakness.

80% Lennox, 20% Wladdy, if he throws caution to the wind and starts throwing hooks and big rights. Eseentially, Wladdy would have to relearn to do what he used to.

Almost exactly how I see it, the only change I would make is Lewis, I see Lewis getting rocked in the first round, after that I see him fighting a cautious fight until the middle rounds where he would knock Wlad out in, Who gets Manny if there both fighting in there primes?

You guys seem to forget about Larry Holmes.

Also I belive 1981 Ali has a great shot in beating Klitschko.

I'd pick a prime Wladimir Klitschko over all of them except Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, and Evander Holyfield.

Wlad get beat by the lot because of his chin, he is a classic, looks a million dollars fighter until he gets hit on the chin and then he falls apart.
