Cotto is a B class fighter. The B is for basic. Floyd decisions him easily.

Floyd schools Cotto very badly. It would be painful to watch.

    Mayweather TKO 11.
Cotto gets off to a good start but as the fight goes on, it becomes clear that he's not in the same league as Mayweather. Cotto has a tendency to break down as fights go on (Margarito & Pacquiao). While Mayweather gets better. The result is Mayweather tko 11 while comfortably ahead on the scorecards.

Another factor that needs to be mentioned is that in 2008, Floyd was still a small WW. Cotto would've probably had 5 lbs on him come fight night. Cotto is very polished, technically sound, has a great jab and a good combination puncher. I don't see where people get the sense that his defense is terrible. It might've been flawed in his earlier days but by 2008, he was a very polished fighter. He gave better than he took.

This is an undefeated and prime Cotto. I don't think it's a white wash by any stretch. I think it would be quite competitive.
