does anyone else here think that there will be a semi-large change in mma after the olympics? with wrestlers like ben askren sayin they've already been trainin some on their off time and promoters always ready to promote one of their fighters as an olympian. i think in the ufc we're going to start seein guys who look like koscheck 2.0 also theres the guys who didn't make it to the olympics who are going to try out mma. most notably Mo Lawal, who i know has been training for a good while in mma and should be goin to the olympics :fire but isnt :|
More groundhumping wrestlers - awesome. I can't wait to watch even more 15 minutes of unanimous decisions consisting of lay and pray. Yippee.
Huh? When was the last time you saw a fight like that? The rules dont even allow it - Ive seen two fights stood up recently from the full mount. The fact remains wrestling is probably the biggest constituent part of mma and will continue to be so. I think the best athletes available going into mma is great.
Anyway, wrestling at the Olympics will no doubt be dominated by the Eastern Europeans as usual, with none of them having any intention of joining MMA.
