That's exactly the right idea then. Just call it, Why Lloyd Marshall Should Be In The Hall Of Fame, IMO, send as direct a message as possible.

I would support any effort in this direction.

What if anything would you want me to write?

Well, My2Sense (and me, co-incidently) would love to see Marshall in the IBHOF. Rather than passively accepting the fact that nothing could be done when it comes to IBHOF inductees, why not submit written articles to various sights imploring certain fighters be nominated.

If we knew exactly when ballots were to be submitted articles could be submitted supporting (in this case) Marshall's case with a view to having some measure of influence over the result.

I agree that Marshall should be in, but he is not my speciality. On the other hand I could make a good case for a few deserving fighters.

We could between us put forward a portfolio of peer reviewed arguments for different fighters, which would be a rather impresive document.

If we knew where to send it to have some effect.

.....Dave Sands deserves as much chance as anyone.

Australias first 'universally' recognised World Champ Jimmy Carruthers (because Griffo wasnt recognised for so bloody long, due to him winning his title on another planet, as the uneducated Americans of the day seemed to think) is mentioned, yet pushes **** uphill in any hopes.

i don't know about the older fighters so i'm just going to comment on the fighters from the 60's on...

Danny "Little Red" Lopez is way due! it would be pure robbery if he doesn't get in. i can't believe this is only his first year of eligibility!!!

others i think could get in are:

    Jose Becerra - Mexico - Bantamweight - 72-5-2 43 KO's

    Naseem Hamed - UK - Featherweight - 36-1 31 KO's

    Raul "Raton" Macias - Mexico - Bantamweight - 36-2 22 KO's

Santos Laciar - Argentina - Flyweight

    Jung Koo Chang - South Korea - Jr. Flyweight - 38-4 17 KO's

    Ernesto Marcel - Panama - Featherweight - 41-4-2 24 KO's

    Hilario Zapata - Panama - Flyweight - 43-10-1 14 KO's

    Myung Woo Yuh - South Korea - Jr. Flyweight - 38-1 14 KO's

    Rafael Herrera - Mexico - Bantaweight - 48-9-4 19 KO's

Its my opinion that Danny Lopez HAS to get in, his turn is long overdue. The other two spots should be going to Gushiken, Curry or Marshall.

There was a time when Curry would have been a shoo in during that welterweight reign but the guy just capitulated during the second half of his career.

I'm surprised there isnt more support for Ernesto Marcel, a very accomplished fighter who fought a young Duran and out classed Arguello!

And yet he retired at only 25!

    Sven Ottke? No thanks.

Cocoa & Marshall have to get in. Both have some fine names on their records.
