    I think Floyd would edge it but it would be a closer fight than the mismatch they had. the weight just seemed to be to much for Marquez

    tbh I'm more impressed by JMM against Diaz, Casa, and Katsidis than by Floyd against Castillo, Sosa, and N'dou.

    I can see this going either way.


    Although Floyd impressed me with the way he beat Marquez at WW, his power was moving Marquez way too easily which would not be the case at 135.

    Would not be surprised to see a controversial decision type of fight.

    Mayweather wins every single round, besides one or two. Maybe Marquez steals a couple, but that's all the success I can see him having. The footspeed difference would always be an awful thing for Marquez to deal with along with Mayweather's style and movement.

    2006? Mayweather was a WW by then.

    The 2002-03 Mayweather wins a pretty wide UD at 135 over Marquez. Marquez has become slower, older, and more hittable in recent years, especially at 135.

    JMM is a tough nut to crack at 135. He gets to be KD at this fight, but will have his moments in the ring, not like the 144/147 they had with Money May.

    Height and reach will still be on Floyd's advantage, and PBF makes very good use on these. PBF is faster on handspeed and footspeed too, but JMM catches him with pretty good combinations.

    On this fight, JMM and PBF may have almost same size, but can JMM bully Floyd ala Castillo?

    Floyd UD JMM, but not like a shutout.

    JMM does better than he did in his real fight against Floyd, but he won't be comically undersized so that should be obvious. Still, Floyd wins like 8-4.

    I do agree that it could end in a controversial decision, even a bloated Marquez pushed floyd back to the ropes but at 135 Floyd faced the better fighter in Castillo than Marquez has fought.

    At 135 Marquez still doesnt have the speed capable to deal with floyd and floyd was more aggressive at this weight. now if this was at super feather weight maybe I could see Marquez edging it

    135 Marquez has a lot gained in experience, but with diminished reflexes. At the same time, he was more aggressive, and so was Floyd, which works towards JMM's advantage. I'd say JMM has a better chance at the earlier weights. I'd love to watch them on more even terms matching wits.

    Floyd never really impressed against Castillo though even in the rematch. Although admitedly Castillo was a very good fighter, however I would not say on JMM's level. Even against Sosa he was very lackluster and then against NDou he looked really great. But in that fight Ndou is more like Corrales than Marquez.

    at 130 it would be a hell of a fight and by far the biggest test of Floyd's career.
