I can see it being a very bad year for British boxing at world level.

    1. British boxing will lose their best in Calzaghe when he accounces his retirement in January.

    2. Hatton will get retired by Pacquiao.

    3. Froch will get completely outclassed by Kessler after possibly beating Andrade or Bute.

    4. Haye will get KO'd by Klitscho.

Deffo ! and I'm not saying Froch couldnt beat Kessler but it would be a big ask , he would unquestionably have to sort his left hand out , If he let Kessler bang as many overhand rights off his chin that Pascal did , granite beard or not he'd be in trouble

Just a few weeks ago people were worrying about this run of fight, saying what if Haye, Hatton, Joe and Froch all lost...

    Well, they all won.

We're a strong boxing nation ... but by the very nature of an individual sport if you take away the top four or five we look much weaker

Yeah, that would be terrible. We wouldn't want to see that at all, would we?

2009 is gonna be ****ing exciting.

Froch, Calzaghe, Hatton and Haye could all take part in legitimate superfights.

All of them should be be in fights to earn the right to say they're the best in their division and forgive me for getting carried away, but if they win their fights, they could all be in the P4P top 10 (Froch needs two big wins, Kessler/Taylor)

Me too but they won't do anything next year. Hopefully FW won't be putting them at the top of any ppv cards.

Calzaghe will brutalise Dawson. Dawson has a shaky jaw and struggled with Glen Johnson's workrate and Inside fighting.

Exciting young Britons Paul Appleby, Paul Truscott, Paul McCloskey, Kell Brook, Nathan Cleverly all enjoy outstanding years and start to look beyond these shores for their next challenges.

i think hatton - pacman will be a great fight win or lose. if in the unlikely event joe fights dawson he will not get iced - in wales he should win a close decision.

haye will probably get iced by vitali, but it will be a fun fight to watch.

audley might fight again but it won't be televised so who cares?
