Am I crazy to think that 2009 version of Vitali K would have fared better versus Lewis of their fight in 2003? I think VK was a more versatile fighter, with better punch variety and wrinkles in his game. I think that Vitali easily wins that one. What say you??
I don't believe so. IMO Vitali peaked around the time he faced Lennox/Johnson/Sanders. He did look outstanding against Peter in 2008, but that was the only fight in his "2nd career" where I thought he looked especially sharp and fluid.
Lewis is just a better boxer. Remember everyone thought Tua would KO him? Lewis made it look like a charity match.
