On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday I was at the annual boxing hall of fame This content is protected weekend. It was my 3rd time going and by far this year was the slowest one yet(more than likely due to the cold and rainy days), but I got some great autographs and saw some great boxing people. I ended up with 13 more autographs, putting my count up to 61. Amongst the ones I got were George Chuvalo, Emmanuel Steward, James "Buddy" McGirt, Danny "Little Red" Lopez, Jung-Koo Chang, Earnie Shavers, Mitchell Rose (knocked out Butterbean), Vito Antuofermo, Larry Hazzard, Al Bernstein, Jay Fullmer (Gene Fullmers brother, who also fought), and Nino Benvenuti. I saw the usual people too such as Bert Sugar, Ron Lyle, Angelo Dundee, and Ruben Olivares. Sergio Martinez did some light workouts, but I was unable to get him to sign anything. He did sign for the fans and seemed very nice and pleasant, but I was not willing to stand in a mass of people and getting all pissed off for 15 minutes just to get an autograph. Sergio is very fast, even when he isn't being serious with what he is doing and it is obvious he stays in very good shape between fights. This was the first year that every single fighter was very pleasant and fan friendly.
No. I only saw him twice, and the first time they wouldn't let fans interact with the fighters, and the 2nd tiem he was rushed away from everyone. I was lucky to get his autograph.
