Well done to Northern Ireland in being the smallest area of all the medal leaders but doing well tying for second place with England
Suranjoy Mayengbam Anyone have seen this guy fight? He seems like really short compare to the others. http://www.zimbio.com/photos/Suranjoy+Mayengbam/19th+Commonwealth+Games+Day+10+Boxing/bDhA6XecQrI
India got some serious hometown decisions boys.....Northern Ireland were the standouts for me at the games with some guys showing good power & real pro boxing styles.
The BBC coverage I read said it was pretty split. Apparently Singh got ****ed over a bit on a technicality against his opponent too so it's clearly not happening just one way.
It wasn't too bad but yeah there were some blatant cheating going on. There was one fight where the Indian fighter was handily getting beaten but his opponent was not getting any points despite landing clear shots with his straight repeatedly. The ref I think may have decided to address the cheating by deducting points from the Indian fighter for excessive holding. Either that or he was the one guy that hadn't been bribed and he was pissed off.
