The earliest old time Ring HOFer who's not in the IBHOF is Jack Root. Again, I'm guessing that may influence and guide some voters in this instance. My personal bias is for Petey Sarron, being part Syrian myself, and a Miami area native. (Sarron had numerous fights there, and retired to become Secretary of the Miami Boxing Commission.) He had one of boxing's best rivalries with Freddie Miller. While I'm convinced Sarron will eventually be inducted, this might be too strong a slate of candidates to prevail through as yet. It's hard to believe Kilrain didn't get in years ago. Ditto for Elbows.
I can not tell you how I am voting because of what I stated before But Tommy Farr's highest rating was #2 in the World, and very few Modern boxers were Inducted without being a Champion or rated #1 at sometime during their career. He was also rated from July 1937 to February 1941, for a total of 36 months.
