It's just the way the scheduling's worked out. There was a group of big fights in November-December last year, and the timing means that those fighters are only coming around again now, leaving the first few months fairly empty.

From April 03 to May 1, there are a whole bunch of potentially great fights, though. Haye's was better than most people expected, for starters.

Aren't we jumping the gun a little bit? We still have some excellent match-ups coming our way. Arreola/Adamek is legitimately intriguing I think. Kessler/Froch is almost a guaranteed fan-friendly one. Uh...and...I'll think of more. Just give me a minute.

January to March are a close to an "Off-season" as boxing gets. Don't judge this year until it's close to over.

I kinda agree. It's been a slow start but I think it's about to pick up.

Isn't Berto vs Quintana next week? That's a ****ing good fight.

Also the IBF WW champ Zaveck is defending next week. I haven't seen him yet so I'll be sure to tune in.

Caballero vs Yordan is next week too that will be a good fight. Yordan is a sound technical boxer and Caballero is a monster

To soon to judge the entire year. April/May looks like hell on wheels! And the results of those fights will produce additional good fights.

    Keywords: so far.

There's still good fights to be had it's early in the year so you can't call 2010 bad as a whole yet because it's still early and it's not like it's late December.

ive got faith for 2010 - we should get a few more megafights yet haye/klitschko, mayweather/mosley, winner of mayweather/mosley/pacquaio, pavlik/williams, super six will get realy good after the second round when it becomes a knock out toyrnament. Plus we got other great fights coming up like hasegawa/montiel, marquez/vasquez 4, possibly juanma/gamboa, mitchell/katsidis and good domestic fights such as murray/mccallister 2, groves/smith etc.
plus we still have juan marquez to announce a fight which could be big. and also possibly khan fighting a top fighter at year end

2010 has stunk so far in comparison to 2009, and based on what we've seen so far, I honestly don't expect this month to make it any better.

No way. Sure , we've had a couple of stinkers but we've still got the Super Six and Mosley-Mayweather coming up. Pacquaio will undoubetdly fight again later this year too. Plus Adamek-Arreola and Berto's coming back. Cheer up guys. I've seen worse.

I might have to get Showtime now. I watched Dirrell vs. Abraham during the free Showtime weekend and I enjoyed it.

It has been an ok start but in the end could turn out to be one of the best years in a long time if we get Haye-Klit, Pac-May and various other huge fights, if most of these don't happen then it will be one of the worst in a long time.
