their wasn't a huge amount resolved in 2010. the top dog in all the best divisions can still be disputed. will 2011 change that?

heavey weights: still we await the klitschko- haye fight, which still might happen. the fights that took place last year didn't realy prove or disprove anything.

light heavey: we saw the emergence of jean pascal after a great win against dawson. but after the disapointing draw against hopkins the division is still wide open. 2011 could change that with dawson training under steward and eager to prove the pascal loss was just a blip. hopefully the division will be unified by the end of the year.

super middle: the nature of the tournament meant we were never going to see the division unified last year but 2011 will see the conclusion of the super 6, along i hope with a unification match up between lucian bute and and the winner of the tourney.

middle weight: this division has seen one of the most dominent fighters in any weight. sergio martinez sealed a great year with a victory over paul williams. but in a somewhat empty division we will look to great fighters like lemiuex, golovkin and pirog coming through. hopfully we can see some exciting fights this year.

welter weight: STILL waiting for the fight of the decade to come through. didnt happen last year, will it happen this year? if it does that alone would make it a great year for boxing.

light welter: a talent packed division full of young fighters went through a transitional period last year. they battled down to three fighters in 2010, khan, bradley and alexander. the winner of tim and devon will face amir mid 2011 to finally unify the division.

feather weight: gamboa and lopez continued their undefeated record and look certain to meet next year to unify the division. great match up and a fight that should see the coming out party of a truly outstanding talent in yourakis gamboa.

bantam weight: two of the most talked about little men in boxing nonito donaire and fernado montiel will meet early this year in a highly anticipated bout.

2010 was a great year with top fights but 2011 may be the best we have had in many years. the pacqiauo mayweather fight doesn't look like happening but the rest of the fights are either already signed and agreed or very likely to happen.

I agree actually. It looks like we should get some answers this year. This being boxing though, i am not getting my hopes up yet. We probably wont see half the matchups that are logical.

This year is looking good, but I thought the same thing about 2010 :-( but it still wasn't that bad. The second part of 2011 though will definitely be better than the first part

Yeah I agree with that, so I'm more optimistic about this year than last year
