Well, its the end of the year. This has to be one of the worst years in boxing history.

There are very few candidates for fight of the year, and the many of the best possible match ups did not happen....again.

    You joking?

There has been heaps of great fights this year.

Hugo Cazares vs Nobuo Nashiro II
Juan Manuel Marquez vs Michael Katsidas
    Amir Khan vs Marcos Maidana
    Manny Pacquiao vs Antonio Margarito
    Ivan Calderon vs Giovanni Segura
    Hozumi Hasegawa vs Fernando Montiel
Hozumi Hasegawa vs Juan Carlos Burgos
    Carl Froch vs Mikkel Kessler

    That not enough for you?

Also there has been some important fights this year, Bantamweight at the moment is shaping up to be superb, as is Light-Flyweight and Flyweight to an extent.

Sergio Martinez-Kelly Pavlik and Bernard Hopkins-Jean Pascal were good fights too IMO. It was a bit dissapointing in terms of the the big fights everybody wants to see don´t get made in Wlad-Haye and Pac-PBF but I hopfe for 2011.

next year should be good, Haye supposedly fighting Klits, someone in general floyd was interested in martinez. pac-mosley is not the best though. Khan will probly fight to and hes got some good opposition in front of him.

pac-maywether seems far off. which is terrible, everyone would watch that one...

    Oh yeh.

I think Wlad vs Haye will happen next year which should be good.

But we had two other big fights that happened in Hasegawa vs Montiel and Calderon vs Segura IMO, and these lived up to the promise IMO.

Yeah, there are some good fights that could be made at lww or are made. Khan-Bradley would be one I really like to see. Or perhaps Khan-Mayweather late next year.

Hasegawa-Montiel was very good. I thought Hozumi would win. Perhaps we will see a rematch one but with Hasegawa´s move up I doubt it.

Nor really interested into the very little guys I must say but then a few years ago I wasn´t interested in anything below fw.

Yeah, I also think Wlad-Haye will happen next year. I also think it will be a typical Wlad fight. Onesided beatdown. Haye has a small chance due to his speed and power but it really is a small one.

Not just those! I also enjoyed

    Perez-Mares I and II
    Pascal-Hopkins
    Dirrell-Abraham
    Martinez-Williams II
    Pirog-Jacobs
    Donaire-Sidorenko
    Alexander-Urango
    Lopez-Marquez
    Lee-Kratingdaenggym

There was some good stuff that set the stage for a potentially electrifying next year, if the powers that be don't completely dick it up.

True. We got most of our candidates for Fight of the Year during those months (although there were some good fights taking place throughout the year, like Carzares-Nashiro, Diaconu-Shieka, Mares-Perez, Segura-Calderon, Karmazin-Miranda, et al, and those included fights like...

    Agbeko-Perez
    Mares-Darchinyan
    Khan-Maidana
    Marquez-Katsidis
    Soto-Antillon
    Jones-Soto Karass
    Pascal-Hopkins

Plus we had one of the most aesthically pleasing knockouts not only of this year, but of any other year as well.

So, 2010 was hardly the write off that Mendoza claims it to be.

It may not have been the greatest year, but it certainly wasn

Think it might depending on when Segura wants to move up to Fly, I heard he might do it next year, I'm not too sure I think he might stay around and fight Roman.
