I have just a few questions about the Fighter and Trainer that the overwhelming majority of ESB posters, have found it so easy to place them at the top as being the Best Fighter and Trainer in the Sport of Boxing.

    Questions:

    1) How does a fighter with almost 60 Pro fights, never faced a SKILLED, ATHLETIC BOXER WITH SPEED...And still be called the #1 P4P Fighter in the Sport?

    2) And How can a fighter who didn't have a ****ING BOXING LICENSE get a fight with this "so-called" #1 P4P Fighter in the Sport?

    3) How can a Trainer be considered the "Best Trainer" in the Sport when he has never allowed his fighter to compete against the Some of the Most Athletic, Skilled and Fastest Fighters in the Sport?

    4) How can this same trainer have negotiations with Shane Mosley (a fighter that everyone thinks is Old & Shot) request that Mosley weighs NO MORE than 143lbs, when Mosley was the Lineal Title Holder at 147? Mosley hasn't fought below 147lbs since 1999.

    5) Also how can this trainer request that Oscar De La Hoya fight at 147lbs....a weight that Oscar hasn't fought at since 2001. And if anyone has ever followed the career of Oscar De La Hoya, his weight gain average from Weigh-in to fight night is 7-12lbs. Yet versus a particular fighter (who shall remain nameless) Oscar weighs-in at 145lbs and comes into the ring at 147lbs:think.

    6) And again....How can this same trainer request that another 147lbs Title Holder, weigh-in at a weight 145lbs?

    7) And guess what....once again, How can a trainer request to fight for a vacant 154lbs title versus a fighter with NO BOXING LICENSE at another "catchweight" of 150lbs?

    8) How can a trainer constantly make every attempt to give his fighter the advantage of always fighting fighters slower, less athletic and less-skillful...and if that isn't enough...he begins this "trend" of DEMANDING catchweights once his fighter begins to fight above 140lbs?

    9) How does a fighter and trainer get the Label of being called "The Best in the Sport" and possibly ATG/GOAT with this type of Behavior and/or Pattern in their resumes?

    10) Are these really the Characteristics and/or Qualities in which "The New Generation" of Boxing Fans label fighters/Trainers in the Sport of Boxing The Best and Possibly ATG's and/or G.O.A.T.?

Pacquiao has faced skilled, athletic boxers with speed. Cotto, Marquez, Morales, Barrera, are slow, unskilled?

What you MEAN is that he hasn't faced an american black boxer with "slickness" or whatever the **** you call it. don't hide it, that's what it is.

    Shut up.

To put it short and to the point...... NO.

I won't even bother answering in detail every point in your arguement because because they have already been argued to death.

Daryl, this has got to be one of your worst posts ever. You scrutinize every missing detail in a boxer's career yet fail to acknowledge even one positive note. The truth is you can scrutinize every boxer's resume.

Pacquiao has 7 and maybe soon to be 8 titles in 8 different weight classes. He has titles in 4 of the original 8 weight classes. Henry Armstrong, who is ranked #2 by some in ATG rankings and has a catchweight title fight, has 3 titles. He has wins over future HOF's in Barrera, Morales, Marquez, De La Hoya, Hatton, and Cotto. That is why he is an ATG.

Boxing fans criteria have not changed. Most fans have Pac in around the same ranking as the boxing insiders. Only the nuthuggers have him too high and the haters have him too low. It all evens out.

When did Henry Armstrong ever have a catch-weight in a title fight? And when did Armstrong ever force or require his opponents to fight at a catchweight?

    From ESPN-
Henry Armstrong TKO end of 6 Lew Jenkins -- Polo Grounds, N.Y., July 17, 1940

Welterweight champion Henry Armstrong was obliged to weigh in seven pounds under the division limit for his scheduled 12-rounder with lightweight champion Lew Jenkins. This was no problem for Armstrong, a featherweight champion who was small for a welterweight. Armstrong came in at 139 pounds, while Jenkins was just a half-pound over the lightweight limit of 135.
The fight held intrigue because Jenkins, from Sweetwater, Texas, was known to be a terrific hitter. New York Times columnist John Kieran was one of many who felt that Jenkins's big punch gave him a chance. "If he can land that punch on a dodging target like Armstrong he may do well for himself," Kieran opined in a prefight story.
Jenkins did indeed do damage. Joseph P. Dawson reported in The New York Times that Armstrong's left eye was swollen almost shut while his right eye "dripped a blinding flow of blood" after a desperation left hook opened an old cut. Armstrong was winning the fight, though. He took command from the fourth round and Jenkins was down seven times, unable to hold the stronger, superior fighter in Armstrong. Referee Arthur Donovan stopped the fight at the end of the sixth as Jenkins "writhed and groaned on his stool" in the words of reporter Dawson.

And how can a fighter get fighter of the decade when they were unheard of for the beginning of it and has his best wins come against fighters who weren't in their top shape and have a loss and draw and only held the p4p spot for about 2 years

    Speed? Check
    Athleticism? Check
    Skills? Check

    [yt]crlMHWsu6e4[/yt]

If anything, they've changed in a sad way cause now all you gotta do is claim that you're the GOAT every 5 seconds and have an undefeated record to have a bunch of douchebags who know nothing about the intricacies of the sport claiming that you are unbeatable.

Unlike other posters...I like to factor in the negatives about the fighters and their careers as well as all the note-worthy accomplishments. I am well-aware of Pacquiao titles. But how come all of the stuff that I mentioned (FACTS) are not included in the decision making process of his ATG status? People still **** on SRL for not fighting Pryor, Benn and McCallum. And let's not even mention the 30 threads a day about what Floyd DIDN'T DO in his career. So why is it TABOO to mention these Blatant and Shameful Tactics from a trainer and that fact that there were several SKILLFUL, ATHLETIC FAST FIGHTERS that Pacquiao did not fight nor did his "trainer" attempted to make a fight with (Guzamn, Casamayor, Corrales...none of these are Black American by the way).

Oh...so it's ok to attack the careers of "certain fighters"...but not Pacquiao. Ok...that makes sense!!!!
