PHILADELPHIA, PA (May 20, 2013)—This past Friday night at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, California, 2012 Olympic Bronze Medal winner Taras Shelestyuk scored his 3rd stoppage victory in as many fights when he took out Mario Angeles of Mexico.

Shelestyuk of Sumy, Ukraine sent Angeles down two times in the second round and finished him off with a barrage of punches that forced referee Raul Caiz to stop the bout at 2:04 of round two.

Shelestyuk is promoted by Banner Promotions & Thompson Boxing.

“We are very happy with Taras. He had an outstanding performance and he is moving at a great pace”, said CEO of Banner Promotions Arthur Pelullo.

“He has fought three times in less than two months and he continues to get better with each fight”.

“Taras had another impressive victory in his 3rd fight, winning by knockout and he showed from the first round that each of his punches had power behind them”, said Shelestyuk’s manager Vadim Kornilov.

Shelestyuk trains out of the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles with Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach.
