I don't watch his fights unless he is facing a really credible opponent.... so...it's been a relatively quiet time for me since Kessler:deal

If I happen to overhear the odd discussion at work about Mundine (from guys that know sweet **** all about boxing)... I point out the real record of his opponents and that he refuses to fight anybody with a pulse (which dissuades them from bothering to watch)

Even phoned Sports shows (commentators that are building up Mundine) and reveal the truth about his opponents and how he has turned "relinquishing Titles to avoid losing" (the ultimate act of cowardice).. into an Art Form

Do I buy a newspaper coz Mundine is in the Sport's Section?.... NO

Do I buy a Magazine coz Mundine is mentioned? ......NO

So... I don't understand how me hating on Mundine puts one extra dollar in his pocket.... rather the reverse

It shouldnt anymore but in the past its what accounted for atleast 50% of Mundines earnings per PPV fight.

Half the people that used to watch him fight, did so because they wanted to see him get KTFO. I guess Mundine dont realise that the show is over, people who did pay to watch him fight because they hated him have caught on to what he is doing and just stopped watching all together.

Fact is, he made ALOT of money from haters.

 

Guys how good is it that we have choc, we should all be proud we have such a big hearted warrior representing! Peace in the middle east brah!!

 

thats it. and such is the nature of boxing. Its in all of our blood, DNA if you like. the world was build on battle, and boxing is the most pure form of unarmed combat. People hated Mundine because he hit a raw nerve, they then wanted to see him proved wrong and be KTFO. Only in boxing. People would not go and watch Manly or Collingwood just to see them lose.

And Ive lost interest because of the fights he choose over the past 4 years, it caught up with him from a sporting perspective with the Wood KO. But you have to ask, if he kept fighting these fights as a self promoted boxer he must have been making ok $$, otherwise would have forced greater fights/entertainment. Wood reckons he made 1 million from 2 fights, how much did Mundine make from these lackluster events. Yes I bought Woods II but did not buy Waters fight - not very interesting, but someone must be buying this stuff.
