Heard all that garbage about Ward/Kovalev. I'll do what I did in the aftermath of it: Take it with a pinch of salt.

I think Wlad decisions him, or wins by a late stoppage. I know that this is not the question asked, but we hope the more interesting match up will be our future ponderings over how the 2020 Joshua (or possibly Wilder or another?!) fare against the best Wlad.

not through skill offered by pov, but by the way overillegal clinchrate of Wlad leading to DQ for any other fighter. He literally clinched as soon as he walked into the centre of the ring, and barely stopped from there. I've never seen that done before in boxing that early on unless someone had just knocked over straight away of course.

Wlad in 2012 was much better than the Wlad in 2017. So since Wlad in 2017, at age 41 out of the ring for 1.5 years almost beat Joshua, he likely would have stopped the exact same version of Joshua he faces in 2012.

If Joshua wants a larger legacy he needs to fight Povetkin and Ortiz soon as both are past their prime but are still good enough to be viewed as solid wins, and needs to cleanly beat a Pulev who has seen better days.

There are talented guys truing pro, or that have announced their intention to turn professional, but right now the division is really down on talent with Wlad retiring, and Fury mentally and physically unable to be in professional boxing. The depth is the divison pretty bad right now.

Dino is a science fiction type of poster, but without the logic of Mr. Spock.

reasonable would be this - whats stopping you from not seeing that the ref was there to protect wlad?

Whenever a thread like this pops up it's a damn near guarantee than Dinovelvet and his butt buddy Herol will come along to spew their drivel at some point.

What it does do is show the limits of Wlads skill-set. Povetkin is the best official win he has on his record and look what he had to do in order to get the win.
Remember Wlad is a guy who fights to a script , he trained and prepared to win by illegal clinch box cos he knew he wasn't good enough to win a fair fought fight.
Povetkin gets through on Wlad and takes him out with a real ref in there like Robert Byrd. Wlad would not have been half as successful as he was without being allowed to cheat. He's one of the biggest frauds ive ever seen.

whats preventing you from seeing a DQ loss as a win for the other boxer?

Clinching and rough housing happens. Wlad had Povetkin's attacks well scouted and put on a clinic. In between the wrestling was some beautiful boxing from Wlad.

Dino insisted Povetkin was going to KO Wlad. That Wlad would never fight Povetkin. Wlad wouldn't be able to clinch someone so skilled. I told him how the fight would go down.

Wlad by KO in 2012 he was much better than the he in 2017. He was more fast, had more gas in the tank, and he wouldn't have allowed to survive in Joshua after the 5th round, when Wlad knocked out Joshua. But I think that Joshua hasn't reached his prime yet.
