Only just picked up on this but didnt realise the guy had an identical twin Either way Jermell Charlo (23-0. 11KO) beat Gabriel Rosado in an upset victory and his twin brother Jermall Charlo (17-0. 13KO) has a fight lined up with IBF Champion Carlos Molina What do you guys think of these two? I wish them the best and hey if they both become world champs it would be the most hilariously confusing brother duo in boxing history you literally wouldnt be able to tell which one is which
Well lets be fair, its understandable not wanting to fight your own brother and even if they did they wouldnt go all out now would they? then again im pretty sure i remember a guy fighting his own father in a boxing match but cant remember who it was (think it was in germany?)
I'm fairly impressd with both of them, specially their jabs. Jermell boxed his way to a good win over Gabe Rosado (though I'm not sure Gabe shoulda moved back down to 154) which shows he at least belongs in the higher tiers of the division. I suspect Jermall may find Molina a struggle however, for me Molina's one of the trickiest guys in the division - though I also wouldn't be utterly surpised in a GBP event to see Molina fall victim to one of the robberies that have plagued his career. Jermall has fought no-one even remotely close to the calibre of Molina, but Molinas style makes it easy for partial judges to score against him. In this fight the Charlo jab - if he can keep it going - might give them the excuse they need. Both brothers are really just starting to breakout though - the Rosado win was good, the Molina fight, win or lose, will tell us a lot about Jermall but these will be the only decent opponents the brothers have faced. TBH it's still early days tho they show considerable promise.
