      .
Is there anybody else in the conversation along with those?

Really nobody on this secondary list ought to be included with the first six names, IMO (except maybe Ruenroeng) - so maybe just leaving the poll at six is best, rather than padding it out just because we can have as many as 10 names.

I will add the final poll on New Years Eve.

I think that list is about right. Its probably between Crawford, Kovalev, Gonzalez and Pacquaio for me.

Kovalev as the emergent fighter who could quite easily go onto dominate his respective division for some time.

    Forget about Floyd & Pacquiao...

If he beats Beltran he will have cleaned out most of the division in less than 12 months. Gamboa was unbeaten going into the fight and was a good win for Crawford.

He was dropped not almost stopped. Gamboa was also not long ago P4P rated.

Anyway Crawford asserted himself as the best lightweight this year (providing he beats Beltran) which is certainly worthy of shortlisting.

Pacquiao has no place in the discussion. Chris Algieri should never constitute 50% of a FOTY resume. Kovalev or Gonzalez deserve it IMO.
