A case can be made for Pac, Crawford and Kovalev IMAO. The fact that Pac is in the mix after KTFO6 is pretty amazing and shows once again that dude has the heart to come back from setbacks. Kovalev was probably the most impressive out of the bunch literally pulverizing his opponents. Crawford best win is probably Beltran who is very solid fighter and a true LW. Gamboa was way over his head fighting him at that weight.

Gamboa wasn't moving up in weight.
He had already fought at LW.

Your dislike if Crawford seems to be getting a little carried away.

Also no one has handled Beltran the way Crawford did

    kovalev, pacquiao or gonzalez.

huge win by kovalev over hopkins, though. that fight drew a lot of interest and attention among sports fans, and not just boxing fans. kovalev went high-profile just like that *finger-snap*.. because of the way he handled hopkins, whom those other sports fans backed to win

No way is Geale Elite, I've watched Barker fight live about 8 times, elite fighters don't lose or even come close to losing to the average Barker. Geale is decent, nothing more.

    Crawford, Roman Gonzales, Pacquiao.

Chocolatito is in unpopular division though, so I can imagine he is being ignored.

Yes, Crawford had a great year, and because of it his hype has vaulted him into the stratosphere for casual boxing fans. But for me, he is not the fighter of the year. He did not beat someone on the level of Bradley or Hopkins the way Pac and Kov did. But I didn't see the little guy RG's fights. So I am not nearly as hardcore as you are. Maybe its him. But I would take Kov or Pac or GG over Crawford.
